About Us:
Brass Dolphin Books is owned by Gary Addington, a bookseller with 20+ years in the business. Gary has operated both open and closed shops. Brass Dolphin Books has been online since the late 1990s beginning with sales on Advanced Book Exchange.
With 60 catalogs up, we have stock in most disciplines. Conditions range from reading copies to fine and collectible. Among our specialties are Technical Reference, Outdoors, Hunting/Fishing/Mountaineering, Cookbooks, Western Americana and Literature.
Besides individual books, we sell a variety of grouped items. These grouped books are shipped with no additional charge for multiple items when sent by Domestic Media Mail.
Samples of our grouped items include literature with criticism such as Elizabeth Simpson's Earthlight, Wordfire: the Work of Ivan Doig with Doig's Mountain Time; a series of dog books about Dalmatians; three bread baking titles; and the fishing titles The Complete Book of Fly Fishing by Joe Brooks with Howell Raines' Fly Fishing Through the Midlife Crisis. Current bundled author works include several by Ellis Peters (early and late writings), William Faulkner, James Joyce, Kinky Friedman and Alexander McCall Smith. Often while selling a fine first edition we will include a lesser reading copy along with it.
Since 2005, we have photographed every book and bundled group added to our catalogs. We like the customer to rest assured that the photograph they view online will be of the actual item whenever possible. Some of the items we cataloged earlier than 2005 may show a default stock photograph if you are viewing our books on the other websites we sell though.
