This is it, the roughest book in our inventory. While sound, this item is ugly in multiple ways which will be listed. This book seems likely to have been the first English translation of an old Soviet bloc publication, translator Dr. S. V. Zatonsky. Many bumpings are noted (corner/edge drops/abrasions) front hinge exteriors have splittings (about 1" ea, interiors OK). First end sheet is covered in penned notes. Ink remover took noting off front and back hardcovers, but some pen nib etching is present. Text edges show thumbing, not too soily. All this said, text is unmarked and all in place nicely, interior binding sound, no gapping.
