We specialize in providing old-fashioned service, attention to detail and traditional, conservative grading using ABAA standards and terms.  We ship daily or, at most, each second day.  Any required shipping adjustments will be submitted to you, for approval, immediately.  We use Ahearn's definition of the term "First Edition", to paraphrase, 'To the serious collector or dealer it is first trade edition, and its jacket, as the first copy came off the press'.  Any exceptions to this are always noted.  60 Catalogs on-line, satisfaction assured.  Thank you.

2 USGPO The Katyn Forest Massacre: Hearings, 3 Volumes
Wash DC USGPO 1952 Trade Paperback Fair No Jacket
Above listing says trade paperback and this is misleading, they are thick, large staple bound books with covers in slightly heavier stock than the text. The condition is problematic, while 3 (pages 221 to 501+ prisoner list) and 4 (pages 503 to 1228) (Chicago and London respectively) have their covers albeit much worn, number 5 (pages 1229 to 1621)(Frankfurt) has missing cover and title page and next page have chip away, the internal text seems otherwise present. Foto will follow. These are the "Hearings before the Senate Committee to conduct an investigation of the facts, evidence and circumstances of The Katyn Wood Massacre." By the 82nd Congress. All are done on some stock similar to newsprint and while legible , covers especially have assorted scars and smudges. They have pen marks and scars on their spines. No xlibrary indications. They will be stored in acid free sleeves now.
